FAA Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults (RQF) (Online)


This Level 3 Principles of Safeguarding training course is suitable for professionals in higher education who hold safeguarding responsibilities. This training builds upon foundational safeguarding knowledge, focusing on the application of safeguarding principles in complex situations.​

Key Components of the Training:

  • Advanced Safeguarding Concepts: Deepens understanding of safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to higher education settings.​

  • Risk Assessment and Management: Equips participants with skills to identify, assess, and manage risks associated with safeguarding concerns.​

  • Responding to Concerns: Provides guidance on how to respond appropriately to safeguarding disclosures and concerns, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of individuals.​

  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Emphasises the importance of working collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to safeguard individuals effectively.​

  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Highlights best practices for documenting and reporting safeguarding issues in compliance with legal and institutional requirements.​

Certification

The assessment is conducted through a one-to-one professional conversation between the trainer and each participant, held within three weeks of completing the training.

Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, attendees will be awarded an Ofqual regulated qualification.

Age restrictions

Learners must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon course commencement.

Course numbers

A maximum of 12 learners can be accommodated on this course.
