FAA Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults (RQF) (Online)


This Level 3 Principles of Safeguarding training course is suitable for professionals in higher education who hold safeguarding responsibilities.

Training takes place across two days (12th & 13th November) from 9.30am until 4.30pm via Microsoft Teams.

This training builds upon foundational safeguarding knowledge, focusing on the application of safeguarding principles in complex situations.​

Key Components of the Training:

  • Advanced Safeguarding Concepts: Deepens understanding of safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to higher education settings.​

  • Risk Assessment and Management: Equips participants with skills to identify, assess, and manage risks associated with safeguarding concerns.​

  • Responding to Concerns: Provides guidance on how to respond appropriately to safeguarding disclosures and concerns, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of individuals.​

  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: Emphasises the importance of working collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to safeguard individuals effectively.​

  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Highlights best practices for documenting and reporting safeguarding issues in compliance with legal and institutional requirements.​

Certification

Upon successful completion of the training programme, attendees will be awarded an Ofqual regulated qualification.

Age restrictions

Learners must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon course commencement.

Course numbers

A maximum of 12 learners can be accommodated on this course.
