This Level 3 Principles of Safeguarding training course is suitable for professionals in higher education who hold safeguarding responsibilities.
Training takes place across two days (12th & 13th November) from 9.30am until 4.30pm via Microsoft Teams.
This training builds upon foundational safeguarding knowledge, focusing on the application of safeguarding principles in complex situations.

Advanced Safeguarding Concepts: Deepens understanding of safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to higher education settings.
Risk Assessment and Management: Equips participants with skills to identify, assess, and manage risks associated with safeguarding concerns.
Responding to Concerns: Provides guidance on how to respond appropriately to safeguarding disclosures and concerns, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of individuals.
Multi-Agency Collaboration: Emphasises the importance of working collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to safeguard individuals effectively.
Record Keeping and Reporting: Highlights best practices for documenting and reporting safeguarding issues in compliance with legal and institutional requirements.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the training programme, attendees will be awarded an Ofqual regulated qualification.
Age restrictions
Learners must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon course commencement.
